How long is the program?

Who will I work with?

You work directly with Ashleigh Gale, APD and program creator, for the full six months. This isn't a program where you're handed off to a junior clinician or coached by someone following a script. You get Ashleigh - her clinical expertise, her direct contact, and her full attention - start to finish. You'll also be referred to an accredited exercise physiologist, with your initial appointment included in the program.
Is this program for GLP-1 medication users, bariatric surgery patients, or both?

Both. The program is designed for people navigating GLP-1 medication (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) and people preparing for or recovering from bariatric surgery. The clinical approach - DEXA-led, data-driven, focused on muscle preservation - is equally relevant to both groups. Your plan will be personalised to your specific situation, medication, and stage of treatment.
I'm already paying for GLP-1 medication. Is this on top of that?

Yes, the program is a separate investment to your medication costs. But here's the thing - your medication changes your appetite. This program determines what you do with that change. What does the DEXA scan actually tell us?

Much more than the scale ever could. A DEXA scan is a 10-15 minute, non-invasive body composition scan that measures your fat mass, lean muscle mass, and bone density - broken down by region of your body. Critically, it also gives us your resting metabolic rate (RMR) - how many calories your body burns at rest - which is the foundation for setting accurate, personalised nutrition targets. Without this data, calorie and protein recommendations are educated guesses. With it, we know exactly where to start and how to adjust as you progress.
What does the pathology testing cover?

A comprehensive blood panel covering metabolic, hormonal, and nutritional markers - including fasting glucose, insulin, lipids, thyroid function, iron studies, vitamin D, and more. This isn't a basic health check. It's a clinical deep-dive that tells us what's driving your body's current state and what levers we can pull to optimise it. Ashleigh provides a written interpretation of your results before your initial consultation so you arrive informed and ready.
What is a CGM and why is it included?

A CGM (continuous glucose monitor) is a small sensor worn on the arm for 2 weeks that tracks your blood sugar in real time. For people on GLP-1 medication or navigating post-surgical eating, understanding your glucose response is particularly valuable - it shows exactly how your body responds to different foods, meal timing, stress, and exercise. The patterns we find in your CGM data are used to fine-tune your nutrition plan in a way that generic advice simply can't replicate.
How is this different from seeing a regular dietitian?

A standard dietitian consult is 45 minutes, once a month, with no clinical testing included. This program combines 1:1 clinical nutrition, DEXA body composition data, comprehensive pathology, CGM, exercise physiology, behaviour change support, and GP advocacy - all coordinated by one specialist over six months. It's a fundamentally different level of care, built specifically for the complexity of medical weight loss.
Do I need to be local to Melbourne?

Not at all. The program is delivered entirely via telehealth so you can join from anywhere in Australia. DEXA scans, pathology, and your exercise physiology session are all arranged at providers near you - Ashleigh coordinates the referrals and logistics so you don't have to figure it out yourself.
What are my payment options?

How quickly will I hear back between sessions?
